Brian Martin, Isle of Wight NHS Trust

Brian Martin, Isle of Wight NHS Trust

South East

With a career spanning Ambulance and Community services, from London to the Isle of Wight, Brian’s interest in people has driven his desire to make improvements to health services. As the Technology Enabled Care (TEC) Manager for the Isle of Wight NHS Trust, Brian has managerially responsibility for the Integrated Community Equipment Service on behalf of the Trust and the Isle of Wight Council. Brian has already lead the rapid implementation of Telehealth remote monitoring and Attend Anywhere video consultation software across the Island. His team helped to support the continuation of care for the Island community throughout the pandemic where people were unable to visit their GP or come into hospital due to the risk of contracting and spreading the virus. Brian delivers technological, person centred solutions, transferring his knowledge and expertise to colleagues across the wider health and care system, showing them what can be done with a positive attitude, enquiring mind and desire to do what’s right for individuals and the community.

Nominated by: Bob Seely MBE MP
