Fiona has overseen some remarkable developments in medicines management (MM) as chief officer, most recently during 2020. With Fiona’s backing the MM team quickly responded to COVID-19, providing significant direct support to Sefton’s most vulnerable patients, general practice, community pharmacy and care homes. These COVID-19 achievements have only been possible due to Fiona’s ongoing patient-centred leadership, fostering innovation. This includes the unique approach to PCN funded pharmacists, integrating these roles within the CCGs to maximise system-wide benefits in patient care.
